Remora Insight is launched

  • 19/08/2025

Remora Robotics today launches a new cloud-based platform that combines continuous hole detection with real-time monitoring and documentation of net conditions. The product, named Remora Insight, is fully integrated with the company’s autonomous net cleaning robots – giving fish farmers full control, anytime and anywhere.

“This is a long-awaited tool for many in the industry. Remora Insight offers a completely new level of visibility into net integrity and enables immediate detection and documentation of damage. It leads to better decisions, reduced risk, and more efficient operations. And most importantly, it significantly reduces the risk of escapes,” says Brage C. Amundsen, CCO at Remora Robotics.

From clean nets – to clean insight

While Remora Robotics has already established itself as a leader in autonomous net cleaning, the company is now taking the next step: digitalizing the insight. Remora Insight provides fish farmers with immediate information on net damage – including images, position, time, and severity level.

In the case of critical damage, such as large holes with risk of escape, a designated contact is notified by phone.

Improved fish welfare and stronger preparedness

In addition to reducing the risk of escape and financial loss, Remora Insight strengthens documentation for both regulatory compliance and internal quality control. The platform is mobile-optimized and offers role-based access, enabling operations teams, management, and service partners to collaborate on resolving deviations.

“This is about more than just technology. It’s about providing clarity and confidence in a complex and high-risk environment,” says Svein Erik Gregersen, CEO at Remora Robotics.

Key features of Remora Insight:

  • Real-time alerts for net damage via email and phone
  • Image capture, position, timestamp, and severity classification
  • Digital deviation log with full location history
  • Real-time and historical status of all Remora robots
  • Mobile-friendly interface with role-based access
  • Supports both English and Norwegian languages
