Our CFO, Liv Lorentsen, has a lot on her plate and wishes for someone else to take over as CFO at our company.
Over the past six months, she has been a key asset for Remora Robotics, with her extensive experience in finance. She holds a degree in business economics and has 20 years of experience in the oil service industry, serving as either a controller or CFO. She has also had two stints abroad, where she covered the Middle East, Asia-Pacific, and China.
“In recent years, I have been the CFO at aquaculture companies, both in aquaculture, onshore facilities, and now within technology at Remora. My years abroad have given me valuable experience working with different cultures and have taught me a lot about cross-cultural communication,” says Liv.
She highlights the young and dynamic environment at Remora, and that even after 40 years in the workforce, she still learns something new here every day. She also views positively that Remora is in a scaling phase, which gives a CFO good opportunities to influence all parts of the company.
“We are also so few that we get to know each other well, the company has clear goals within sustainability, and on top of all I have a fantastic view from the office!”
