Jon Egil is our field technician in Stavavanger and spends most of his days either on the boat or at the facilities. When he’s not there, he’s likely taking a turn in the workshop.
“Three to four days a week, I’m usually out at sea. My tasks range from installation to maintenance of the robots and, importantly, maintaining good customer contact,” he says, and continues:
“I’m one of those who get closest to the actual users of our cleaning robots.” says Jon Egil.
He has extensive experience in aquaculture in Norway, working in service and maintenance. Over the years, he has identified opportunities to improve the cleaning process. Thus, Remora is a perfect fit for him.
“Remora’s innovative mindset and how we make the cleaning of facilities more sustainable appealed to me. Our values align very closely, so it was a good match.”
He points out that technical understanding and experience at sea are crucial for the position, especially since a lot of time is spent on a boat. He often needs to be solution-oriented to address issues quickly.
